Meet Dinzi

Hello

Kedu

ULO means HOME in Igbo, the Nigerian dialect spoken by my late father.

Growing up in Nigeria, Dinzi was surrounded by vibrant prints and wax fabrics. There was a joyful celebration to those bold, colourful patterns, each ingrained with the story of its maker. They inspired her deeply and created a lifelong love for textiles and design.

This inspiration followed Dinzi to London and then saw her establish our studio in Melbourne. Today, we source a curated selection of vibrant and contemporary African textiles and place these into modern everyday lifestyle settings.

As the brand grows, we never lose sight of our values.  We celebrate the stories behind our textiles, their sentiment and the joy they bring to modern life.

In Igbo, the Nigerian language spoken by Dinzi’s late father, ULO (pronounced Ohh-lo) means home. By sourcing an extensive collection of African textiles and making home accessories for people to cherish, we hope they will join us in spreading the joy of home – both Dinzi’s and their own.
